If you are towing a caravan/ trailer tent or have a motorhome please follow the directions below. Do not follow satnav.
From M56/Queensferry: Take Junction 33B from the A55 for Mold. From Mold follow the A541 Denbigh/St Asaph road. Pass Lidl. Drive away from town in the 30mph zone. Continue on this road, slightly uphill, out of town. Pass the Sychdyn turn. Pass the Rhosesmor turn. Continue along the main A541 road through the village of Rhydymwyn (40 mph zone) and Hendre (30 mph zone). Pass the Oak pub in Hendre Village then, after the village, you will come to a crossroads. Turn right here for Rhes y Cae following the Brown Caravan / Camping sign. Drive uphill. Fron Farm will be found 1 mile on the right.
When you enter the village of Hendre 30mph zone take the first right at Coed y Felin Nature Reserve. Fron Farm is at the top of the hill, 1st on the left. Please drive onto the tarmac roads, following the signs to find the log cabin Reception and the Caravan Park at the rear of the Farm.
If towing a caravan exit at Junction 33 following the signs for Mold then follow the instructions above. If you are not towing then you could approach from the St Asaph junction following the A541 for Mold. Turning left at the Rhesycae/Cilcain crossroads. We are 1 mile on the right.
If you are bringing a tent in a car then you can follow the satnav which will bring you over the hilltops from the A55 Expressway at Halkyn. This is definitely the scenic route. You pass sheep grazing free on the roadside. The roads get narrower when you approach Fron Farm from this direction but it is fine and passable, just a bit hilly with country lanes! The wider access roads for caravans and motorhomes via Mold town and “A” roads are given in the directions above. If you want to stop off for some shopping please use the A road route also as there are no shops on the scenic satnav route!
